When the crucible of conflict offers up a trophy, you best study it to hone your methods to defeat and destroy it. Ukraine launches TrophyLab. ⬇️

Ukraine has just launched TrophyLab – an open access platform that captures 115 samples of Russian equipment with Technical specifications, blueprints and scientific research results. The platform seeks to boost defensive capabilities and accelerate countermeasures against Russian equipment.
Leveraging an open source approach is designed to enhance Ukraine’s ability to collaborate with Industry and start ups across the world. There is a shared interest for nations with military equipment aligned to the NATO standards to learn, mitigate and defeat Russian weapons and equipment after all. In an interview with Mezha Ukrainian Minister of Defence Mykhailo Fedorov explain:
“Each unit of Russian equipment captured on the battlefield is not just a trophy. It’s knowledge about how the enemy’s weapon works. Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukrainian troops, scientific institutions, and research centers have studied captured equipment. They analyze components, technological solutions, and weak points to more quickly develop effective countermeasures. Now this knowledge is available to those who are working to strengthen defense.”
This approach provides an example for Western militaries including Australia to consider – how are we enabling our sovereign Defence industry to craft weapons and equipment best suited to defeating the threat?
TrophyLab offers the potential of an invaluable resource for those on the side of the free who seek to deter war and defend against Russian equipment. Lets see how this platform evolves and improves!
